Do I need to make a reservation to visit ABSOLUT ICEBAR? |
We highly recommended you make a reservation as we often get fully booked, especially at weekends. |
| What happens if I just turn up on the day? | We will do our best to accommodate you; however we can’t guarantee entrance as ABSOLUT ICEBAR has a strict 60 person capacity and some time sessions do sell out in advance, especially at weekends. |
| Do I have to pay in advance? |
Yes, we require full pre-payment at the time of booking. |
| Can I make a provisional booking? | Sorry, no, we do not take provisional reservations. |
| I’m not sure what time I’d like to book and I can’t confirm numbers just yet…. | We know it can be difficult to get your friends to commit, but we do need a definite time and number of guests from you to make a booking. We have a very extensive and busy reservation system, offering over 300 different time sessions and unfortunately holding ‘maybe’slots is not possible. |
| What is your cancellation policy? | As long as you call us a minimum of 48 hours in advance we’ll be happy to give you a refund if you need to cancel. Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds with less than 48 hours notice. |
| Can I combine my visit to ABSOLUT ICEBAR with dinner or drinks in belowzero restaurant + lounge? | Of course, what a good idea! Groups of up to 8 can book online, however to book a table that might best coordinate with your ABSOLUT ICEBAR time we’d recommend calling our helpful reservations team. |
| Can I increase my reservation size? | Yes, dependant on remaining availability. Maximum group size is 25. |
| I would like to book for 25 people or more? | Ooh a party! Our events team handle a wide variety of corporate and private events. Contact them on 020 7478 8917 or email events@belowzerolondon.com; they will be happy to advise you and email you a specific quote. |
| Can I decrease my reservation size? | Yes, although to offer you a refund on any prepayments please call us a minimum of 48 hours prior to your reservation. Refunds are processed after your reservation date. |
| Can I move my reservation to a different time and date? | Yes so long as there is availability, to a maximum of 28 days in advance. |
| Do you offer any group or student discounts? | We do not currently offer any large party or student discounts in either belowzero or ABSOLUT ICEBAR. We do run special offers from time to time though; give us a call to find out more. |
| What can you do for birthdays and other special occasions? |
We do not allow any food, fire or helium inside ABSOLUT ICEBAR which unfortunately rules out cakes, candles & balloons! The ABSOLUT ICEBAR experience is so novel and sensuous that it is a special occasion in itself. In belowzero we can bake a special cake (minimum 6 guests, £5 per person), or if you order dessert we’ll decorate your plate with any special occasion message. |
| Do you sell gift vouchers? |
Yes. Gift vouchers for ABSOLUT ICEBAR are available in 3 denominations which correspond to the different ticket prices (£12.50, £15.00 & £23.00). ABSOLUT ICEBAR vouchers can be used to purchase ABSOLUT ICEBAR entrance tickets. They can also be used to buy merchandise at the venue (excludes online shop). belowzero restaurant + lounge vouchers are available in denominations of £25. |
| How do I make a reservation? | Book online (groups of 8 or fewer) or phone us on 020 7478 8910 – we’re here from 9am until late Monday – Saturday and 1-7pm on Sundays. |
| Your website won’t let me book more than 28 days in advance – can I do this over the phone? | No, both the online reservation system and the reservations team only take bookings 28 days in advance. |
| I didn’t receive my email confirmation – have I got a reservation? | You probably do, but as our confirmation emails are automated they will sometimes bounce back or get caught in your email junk folder. If you want to double-check then call us to confirm your reservation. |
| The internet says you can only book for 8 people – is this correct? | Yes, as we prefer to talk to any guests wishing to book for large groups; this really does help avoid any miscommunication. We are more than happy to take bookings for parties of up to 25 over the phone. |
| My payment confirmation email says I have a restaurant booking when I only wanted to book for ABSOLUT ICEBAR. | Sorry, this is a ‘hard-wired’ part of our automated PROTX payment software process. To double-check where your reservation is for, refer to the confirmation email from the sender ‘belowzero restaurant + lounge’ or ‘ABSOLUT ICEBAR LONDON’ – check your junk mail folder if this hasn’t come to your in-box. |
| Is the premium session only at 8pm? | Yes, the premium sessions are at 8pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. All other sessions are standard sessions. |
| What is the difference between the premium session and the standard sessions? | The premium sessions offer an enhanced experience. Tickets cost £23 and include complimentary unlimited drink refills. Total capacity in the bar is limited to 40 (rather than 60) and party size limited to 8 or less. A standard session includes your first cocktail and refills cost £6. |
| Why can I only book for 8 people for the premium session? | Our premium session was created for a more intimate experience. This policy was created after customer feedback that the presence of larger groups altered the ambience of this session. |
ON THE DAY OF YOUR RESERVATION
| Where are you located and what’s the nearest station? | 31-33 Heddon Street, Mayfair, London W1B 4BN. Heddon Street is located just off Regent Street and is a 5 minute walk from either Piccadilly Circus or Oxford Circus tube stations. |
| What happens if I just turn up on the day? | We will do our best to accommodate you; however we can’t guarantee entrance as ABSOLUT ICEBAR has a strict 60 person capacity and some time sessions do sell out in advance, especially at weekends. |
| What is the dress code? | Our dress code is smart-casual. Jeans and smart trainers are acceptable, although no tracksuits please. |
| Do I need to bring my email confirmation? | No, just tell us the name your reservation was made under when you arrive at reception. |
| What happens if I arrive late? | All ABSOLUT ICEBAR sessions run for 40 minutes. If you have not prepaid for your tickets your reservation will be held for 15 minutes, after this we cannot guarantee to hold your slot. If you have prepaid for your tickets, your space will held for the whole session. ABSOLUT ICEBAR tickets are non-refundable if you miss your session. If you know in advance that you will not be able to make your reservation time, please call us to try and arrange an alternate time to avoid losing your deposit. |
| Can I wear heels inside the bar? | Yes, the floor is made of non-slip metal. |
| Do I need to dress especially warmly? | No, we provide you with thermal capes and mittens which you wear over your regular clothes. Most people find this to be enough protection from the -5c temperature, however if you feel you are extra sensitive to the cold then you may wish to wear a warm outfit or bring an extra layer. Don’t forget, being cold is part of the fun! |
| Can we take photographs inside the ABSOLUT ICEBAR? | Yes, you can snap away as long as the photos are for personal use and not for publication. If you’d like a professional memento then you might like to know that on weekend evenings we have our own photographer taking pictures for you to purchase. If you decide not to purchase on the night you can order them online later. |
| Can I stay in there for longer than 40 minutes? | You are more than welcome to purchase another ticket to join us for a second session, providing the next time session is not fully booked. |
| Can we eat inside ABSOLUT ICEBAR? | No, ABSOLUT ICEBAR is strictly a drinks-only bar; no food is allowed inside. Only ABSOLUT ICEBAR drinks can be consumed in the bar. We do however have our own restaurant on the lower ground floor. Simply enquire with our reservations team or a member of staff. |
| Can I smoke inside the bar? | No, we are a non-smoking venue. There is an outside terrace area where you are welcome to smoke. |
| Is it only vodka you serve inside the bar? | We serve non alcoholic juice cocktails as well as vodka cocktails, but as the name suggests we only serve ABSOLUT Vodka. We serve a selection of 12 ABSOLUT based cocktails, which incorporate the whole family of ABSOLUT Vodkas including ABSOLUT Citron, ABSOLUT Raspberri and the latest ABSOLUT Pears. belowzero restaurant + lounge serves a wide selection of wines, beers, spirits and cocktails. |
| Is ABSOLUT ICEBAR open all year round? | Yes, ABSOLUT ICEBAR LONDON is open all year. We shut for a week twice a year for our biannual rebuild. |
| Do you have a dance floor? | No, there is music in ABSOLUT ICEBAR but it is a bar not a club. On Friday and Saturday evenings we have a DJ playing up-tempo tunes in the warm lounge area in belowzero. On other days we still listen to cool contemporary music but the DJ is not live. |
| I’d like to book a table in ABSOLUT ICEBAR. | Please note, ABSOLUT ICEBAR is a standing-only bar and there are no tables. |
| Is the floor made of ice? | No, the floor is made of non-slip metal. |
| Is it ok to enter the bar when you’re pregnant? | Yes, there are no health risks to pregnant women. |
| Can I keep the ice glass? | The ice glass will not last long outside of ABSOLUT ICEBAR as it will melt! Ice glasses are not permitted in any other area of our venue as they will drip. |
| What is your age policy? Can children enter ABSOLUT ICEBAR? | Minors are welcome to join us in the daytime sessions (last entry at 18:30) when accompanied by an adult; after that the age limit is strictly 18 and older. Valid ID may be required. We have a few smaller capes suitable for children, however we do not have capes small enough for babies and toddlers; if you wish to bring very little people into ABSOLUT ICEBAR with you please ensure you dress them suitably for the cold. |

Evening reservations for groups of 8 - 24 guests will be offered a set menu, before 7pm or after 9pm. Please contact our reservations team for more details. |
